About Us
After Tommy’s passing, baking cookies became a way for me to process my grief and find solace. What started as a small comfort soon grew into a business inspired by Tommy’s love for life and the joy he brought to everyone he met. Our original name, Fat Kid Cookie Co., captured the playful spirit of our cookies and did it's job of bringing smiles and laughs.

In 2025 I decided to change our name to Tommy's Cookie Co. Using this name is a way to honor Tommy's legacy and better reflect the purpose behind our work.

The new name honors Tommy’s memory, allows us to share his story, and strengthens our commitment to supporting fentanyl awareness programs. Through every cookie, we strive to make a difference and keep Tommy’s spirit alive. The same great cookies you have come to love with a name that means so much more to us.

Our Cause:

Tommy's Cookie Co. was born out of tragedy after the loss of our founder Stephanie’s son, Tommy, in 2020. Tommy was full of life, with a love for the outdoors, snowboarding, hiking, and immersing himself in nature. He was a loyal friend and had a unique ability to make others feel valued. However, he struggled with addiction. Tommy fought hard to stay sober, went to rehab, and made incredible strides, even catching up on his schoolwork and graduating with his peers. Tragically, just a week after graduation, Tommy relapsed and died from fentanyl poisoning. The isolation of COVID prevented him from living the sober life he so desperately wanted. While we don’t believe he knew he was taking fentanyl, the devastating reality is that one pill can take a life. Through Tommy's story and our cookies, we are raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl and honoring his memory.
